About Brazil
Brazil is the largest country in South America, stretching from the Amazon rainforest to the vibrant beaches of Rio de Janeiro. It is one of the most biodiverse nations on Earth, home to nearly 60% of the Amazon and countless unique species. Brazil has a rich cultural identity shaped by Indigenous, African, and Portuguese influences, evident in its music, festivals, and cuisine. The annual Carnival in Rio is among the world’s most famous celebrations. Brazil also has a strong economy, fueled by agriculture, mining, and energy, and it is a leading producer of coffee, soybeans, and iron ore.
Fun fact: Brazil is the only country in South America that speaks Portuguese.
